"... we kind of look at this as a game breaker, in terms of our E-commerce business," said Leonard Riggio

Interestingly, the only real fear we had(a few of us via private messages) regarding to Amzn's stock price long term was the possibility that a Bertie/Amzn association which will enable Amzn to establish a "monopolization" position in the Net-book selling business.

Personally, I consider that a win-loss break for Amzn. There is almost no-way-out other than trying to be a "Walmart" now after the Bertie/B&K alliance; that to me, is much more than a "road less traveled", it is "a road should not be traveled by Amzn".

If B&N had been in the Kleiner club, Doerr would have got it for them.
One way or the other!
I'm told that yhoo has a " If you see Doerr, shoot him on site!" sign posted all over their corporate headquarters.
