New Modem Demo Board Optimized for Pan-European Approval for Connection to the Analog Public Switched Telephone Network

TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1998--TDK Semiconductor Corp., a leader in the design and manufacture of communication semiconductors for worldwide markets, Monday introduced a new modem demo board for CTR21 applications, to use with its 73K324L single chip modem IC.

The 73D2348E demo board is a development platform optimized for Pan-European usage with a CTR21 compliant interface. CTR21 is a set of Pan-European approval requirements for connection to the analog Public Switched Telephone Network.

To facilitate the design and development process, the 73D2348E is equipped with a PGA socketed TDK 73M2910 microprocessor. The PGA socket provides a stable interface for in-circuit-emulation. The demo board comes packaged with software capable of supporting a CTR21 compliant modem solution.

The new 73D2348E demo board is priced at $249. It is available under OEM license agreement through TDK Semiconductor's worldwide sales and distributor organization to current customers of the company's 73K324L single chip embedded modem IC.
