Steve, I guess this is why you mentioned Acampora:

Acampora: Bear market over

NEW YORK - Prudential Securities analyst Ralph Acampora says the
bear market on Wall Street is over. Acampora told Prudential's sales
force Tuesday that, in his opinion, the Dow Jones industrial average
reached bottom when it fell to 7400 during trading on Sept. 1, and that the market's rally will broaden to include small-company stocks.

Acampora, a longtime bull, first predicted a bear market in August, and as recently as Oct. 8 had forecast that the Dow would fall as low as 6500. Last March, Acampora said the Dow would rise to 10,000 this
year. USA Today

It seem like they are saying that Ralph can't make up his mind.
