Well, my argument is the chart of reductions in the discount rate from 1929 to 1932, when there were eight successive cuts. This did not prevent a decline of 90%.

I find this chart, which I found in Fosback's Stock Market Logic, hard to reconcile with his claim that "two tumbles and a jump" is an almost perfect predictor of rises in the market.
