Don't leave the system monitor open all the time. It can sometimes take up to 15% of your resources. Also, when looking at your memory usage, if you are using close to 64MB then Windows will be doing a lot of swapping of memory to the hard drive. Make sure you don't have a lot of apps open at the same time.

My rt3 setup takes about 21MB of memory, I just checked it. The more windows you have open, the more memory it requires. I'm using a P 150 w/128MB of RAM. With RT3, 2 IE4 windows, 1 Netscape, ICQ, and Outlook98, on Windows NT 4 I was using 110MB of memory. NT takes a lot more memory than 95 or 98. I had a lot of problems using a 28.8 modem, but now I'm using 128K ISDN with very few problems.

So you are still having problems even with the cable modem?
