Jim I suspect you would rather hear from Jules but let me try

Soundview's upgrade for 4 Q will muffle any nervous Nelly sell off on IBM's 3 Q's earnings (Tuesday after the close) .

HOWEVER , SV has been consistently on the mark estimating IBM earnings since 1992 , but both INTC and AAPL got slammed after posting good results last week .

INTC will be bellying up with the FTC in court in March and also there may be some apprehension that the Micron deal will not pass muster .

AAPL on the other hand will be pounding its chest Wednesday for analysts at the very place (Waldorf) where IBM (LVG) started its return to glory after sliding CFO Thoman to XRX .

Regards,
Jim K.

PS: Jules, it pays to pound your chest as much as it does to read those "Kash-in-with-Kary" charts - remember "IBM will meander to $140" posted a while back.

Hi Jim,
As I value your opinion and analytical skills, (you are one of the few people here that realizes that IBM's P/E ratio is now above 23), I am curious what you thought of the IBM numbers and analysis I posted here yesterday???
What are you looking for IBM to announce tonight?
Best Regards,
Jules
