Time to buy put options ? or sell short ?. HP has disappointed so often that one can expect similiar this round. Their problem is that they decided to enter a high growth low margin business while at the same time losing market mind share and company focus around HP-UX. Their Wintel PC business is fighting against Dell\Compaq. Frankly, Top management has done a lousy job in managing R&D resources as well as short-term expenses. At this point they should be worried about their jobs. I still have a few houndred shares left of HP, but I'll probably get out soon, especially before earnings.
