Patrick,

I agree in part with what you said about a merger with VLSI. Even more importantly though, Stein canned the deal at 28 so it is doubtful that he would let it go now that the stock has plummeted. VLSI traded as low as 6 a few days ago and closed at 8 3/8 today. It might be a while before VLSI gets back to a price where a merger is a possibility again. In addition, LSI needs time to recover if they are going to pay with stock.
