"sell-off" was feared due to MSFT being DOJ'ed - not IBM missing 3Q earnings

Meant to add the above comment to the previous message.

As the DOJ presents its case SV may have expected investor fear for MSFT which could have spilled over to IBM tomorrow .

IBM actually stands to benefit from the DOJ action .

Netscape is the DOJ's base case of MSFT's sinisterism but AOL , SUNW and AAPL have joined the fray.

IBM's G5 mainframes are expected to contribute handsomely:

Hi Jim, thanks for asking.. and yes apples are excellent. Last weekend filled up on cider made donuts, homemade pies and preserves. I wish modern life would slow down enough to enjoy things like I used to...

Regarding the G5, didn't it get a late Aug start? Tomorrow will tell, I'm tempted to sell into the news, though the market for the last six days has been making money off short sellers.

Will check in tomorrow to see how the consensus towards noon is.
