Hindsight is easy. Sure 12 at a time had not been done before, but if that were the criteria, not much would be happening in the world. You have to push the envelope to get ahead. Lets not sit around and pick apart one business decision - all of us are here because of the sum total of Bernie's (et al) decisions.

Need I remind people that rockets go boom. Every rocket goes boom sooner or later. We just happened to get zinged. Lets move on. If you are not happy with the business decisions made, place your vote and pull your money out.

Money is what the Zenit launch was and will be about. Is the time value of money worth the risk. That is what investment is all about, is the time value of money worth the risk. I expect a larger return for the money I risk with you, for the time span which I could have had my money in any number of other investments. I made that decision. I dont make the decision on which launch vehicle to use and neither does anyone of us, but we still can vote on it.

I vote in favor. Loral did what was reasonable. They required two good launches before they went. Loral will do the reasonable thing, they will review the investigation and make a business decision on the value of another launch attempt.

Better to put up 12 in one short or spread them out? I am not privy to the numbers or considerations that go into the decision, only the result. Right now, I'm ok with the decisions.

Geoff: That's OK, thanks, anyway; don't want you to waste your time. It was just one of those things that struck me as "isn't that odd". One of those hindsight things; no big deal.

Geoff: Just finished cruising the 50 + posts for the last three days on the Motley LOR board. They are heavy duty LOR/G* posters over there. The second guessing of the 12-on-one has been somewhat replaced by pessimism about the likelihood of seeing any insurance proceeds from the Zenit blow-up. Readware is still being hung by the thumbs in effigy following his/her disappearance after the Zenit situation.

I haven't been hitting Motley much due to limited time but didn't notice your presence there as in the past. Regardless, there is vigorous discussion at that site!
