Delays in completing 18-4 No. 1 well; 1.5m financing closed Westfort Energy Ltd WT Shares issued 22,230,583 Oct 19 close $0.73 Tue 20 Oct 98 News Release Mr. Jean Williams reports Problems associated with hurricane weather and additionally a problem with one workover rig have caused delays in completing the 18-4 No. 1 well; however work is again proceeding timely and the company expects test results next week. The company has recently closed a private placement for the sale of 1,500,000 units at 84 cents. Each unit is comprised of one share and one warrant entitling the holder to purchase one share at $1.05 for two years.
