Mr. Tippet please remind me when you and Jules were last right on the direction of IBM's stock price. Did Jules state revenues and earnings on a per share basis in the post you refer us to? If IBM drops to 90 by the end of the year (a circumstance that seems VERY unlikely), then I will only have made 4X in the last 5 or 6 years. Long and happy. Scott

Hey Tip linking to Jules again ain't fair , OK here's IBM's G5 again:

In reality the G5s will also power more installation services and IBM Credit Corp's interest returns on purchase contracts:

news.com

I just wish Jules would cover his IBM puts from 2 years ago and enjoy some of the (Shiva , Micron) acquisitions INTC is doing , before its FTC 3/99 trial .

Who knows if INTC opens a credit facility and grows a service business it too could become a mini-IBM like Unisys , or Atari.

IBM just floated low interest paper (latest EDGAR) in anticipation of more lease growth .

Regards,
Jim K.

Thanks, I read the link before and only wish my P & L looked like that one. The only thing I learned from it is that it is possible, if you are so inclined, to see the glass half empty in any circumstance. Not mentioned was that IBM has the absolute best client list of the biggest entities in the world and practically everyone of them goes to IBM for solutions to a wide range of problems. They know a thing or two about how to capitalize on that.

This particular song has been going on a long time for many of us. The whole world is bound to come an end some day. Will we still be able to reach you on this thread to be able to tell you that you were right all along?

By the way are you really convinced of your position and actually short the stock NOW or just making predictions for the fun of it?
