AMD is about to release their K6-2-400MHz. Of the 3 techniques you
described in increasing for speed which one did AMD use? Their
0.25um process was initially at 300MHz and now at 400MHz. That is a
33% improvement. Soon they will hit 450MHz and that is a 50%
improvement. It seems to me that #1 and #2 choices of yours gave only
5-10%.
