Good and valid point.However,at its current price,CIEN
is very undervalued and worth a look.
Regardless of the real reason for stock price action today,
buying CIENA at 12-13 will be a profitable decision 3 months from now.

doug, I think that responding to the misstatement was a hair-trigger reflex from those who think that its rise is inevitable, or who've been wanting an excuse to see it up again. There may also be a little bit of coincidence here, since many believe that the stock is way too far down, and know that is worth more over time, approaching the vicinity (well, maybe not quite in the shorter term) to where it was once at.

absolutely, imo, CIEN should be around 30$. With earnings momentum back to where it was before, it should be at 50+

Dear Doug:

Buy on the hype sell on the facts! That is what seems to propel our society. In fact in many cases the fiction is taken seriously i.e. DOJ vs. MSFT. That may not be right but that is what is going on.
