Sam,

I'll pray for you.

About John sending disciples to Jesus, I have been taught that John the Baptist, the old testament's predicted forerunner to the Messiah, was cast into prison shortly after he introduced Christ to Israel. Since the kingdom had not materialized in the interim, he began to entertain doubts regarding Christ's mission. That very hour, Jesus performed miracles predicted of the Messiah in Isaih 61:1-2, and told John's disciples to convey that information back to John, which must have reassured the great prophet.

Why so many doubts and questions, Sam? Have you ever asked similar questions to yourself as to What if Jesus isn't the Savior instead of How could Jesus be the Savior? Do you believe in the Old Testament? If so, why do you choose the Old and not the New? If neither, then, how do you explain life? Even science, which you appear to covet, can't explain the beginning of life better than the Bible. If Jesus did not come, then we have no hope.

It baffles me a bit that you appear to be well versed in the Bible, yet no faith. What happened, Sam? No matter what happened God is always waiting to take you back. There is always hope in Jesus. Other religions, such as the Muslim religion, believe that Jesus existed, they doubt WHO He was while you doubt IF He was. Please feel free to ask any other questions -- all the answers are found in one book :~)
