When I first started using Island you had to re-enter your order after a partial fill and pay a few bucks more. Now that's changed. It made me think that maybe ISLD wasn't necessarily always ISLD. I try not to assume too much and ask around. I'm also a little paranoid...

Also, I wasn't talking about the market moving AWAY from me--that's no problem. It's when it moves in my favor, without me first getting filled: Then I get locked or crossed which cancels me out. Normally, you would be glad to be cancelled, because the market moved in your favor and you can now reenter at a better price. But in a wildly fluctuating market, if you are desperate, you just want a fill, and it can be very hard to catch.

I'm leaving Datek because of the speed and reliability problems, especially on high vol days. However, I have never had my ISLD order cancelled via Datek. It is either filled or is always there below the bid or offer.
