Penni,

Another lost cat story.

Back in childhood days my father and I once dragged a drowning grey tabby kitten from a river. Grew up to be a large, somewhat ferocious, and very affectionate tom. Used to bring dead squirrels back and deposit them on the doorstep as offerings to the collective table.

We moved after a few years, to a place with a good bit of forest and meadow around. He didn't like the move, and vanished immediately on release. I looked for that cat a long, long, time, and saw him only once, crossing from meadow to forest with a quail in his mouth.

Some creatures just want to be wild.

Might not work for Blue, though.
