Allen, so the short interest is about 10% of the float. I looked at
volume-by-price and it shows most trading occurred near $7 and above.
So maybe most shorts can afford to wait.
I have no idea what I'm talking about.<G>

This talk of a short squeeze in IOM is purely delusional. There are about 267 Million oustanding shares. This number of outstanding shares makes it EXREMEMLY difficult for a short squeeze to occur. And besides, IOM will have a terrible time getting past $5/share, because the shorts will be all over it like ugly on Rosanne.

But Iomaniacs, feel free to hype this garbage up all you want with fairy tales of an impending short squeeze. The Annual Comdex Sucker Roundup has commenced. Hey- I'm one of them. I'll be happy to make a 20%-30% profit inside a month on this joke of a company's back. But I'm also aware enough to get the Hell out of Dodge 3 days prior to when Comdex actually kicks off.

Iomega ain't gonna be the only exhibit in Las Vegas. And when the press gets a look at some of the new products from Iomega competitors, the write-ups will be brutal towards Iomega. Also, Iomega's 40MB Vapor! toy drive will be ignored by the outside press. And the entire Vapor! product line will sell less than $25,000,000 its first year, and less than half this in 2000. Vapor! will never come close to recouping all of the R&D and Marketing that went into it.

And Vapor! will be cancelled before 2001.
