David,

I would feel better about it if SI weren't owned by Go2Net. I think that maybe there's good intentions today, but when new people are running Go2Net somewhere in the future, who knows what might happen? I wouldn't voluntarily use the cookies myself. Logging in is a small price to pay for whatever privacy one might gain by not using cookies.

The first rule of privacy is to say NO. Until more accurate information is out on the cookie issue, I remain 100% against them.
