Yes, Jaws' programmers work to tailor L5 to the customer's needs.

Barrie, the above statement brings up a couple of questions for me. What language is the Jaws software written in and how transportable is it? If say it's in C or C++ can it be recompiled and linked for use on any operating system?

This is just my opinion, but I would have to assume that any company would want the strongest encryption available.

Barrie, I would only agree with this statement under the assumption of all else being equal. However, in addition to the security issues we've already discussed, encryption solutions can also vary widely in features such as key storage, generation, and management, flexibility, performance, ease of use, and price.

Companies often make their decisions based on a variety of factors, security is just one of them.

And BTW, I think the only reason why I (and apparently some others) keep harping on the issue of expert verification is that JAWZ is outright claiming to have "world's strongest encryption software" and that its software is "statistically unbreakable". Those are some pretty bold statements, and while they may make for good marketing campaigns, it is very rare to see a legit encryption company touting its technology in such a manner... because most people familiar with the industry and technology would know that such claims are most often BS.

PS - IMHO, the recent downward trend in the stock is most likely simply the result of the lack of info on customers or sales.
