Chucky, Craig, et al,

The "big deal" about Norton Zip Rescue is the fact that you can boot into Windows95/98 GUI and not just DOS.

The floppy disk is used to boot into DOS and to load DOS ASPI drivers that allow you boot from an IDE or SCSI Zip drive, which in turn, allows you to use a Zip disk to boot into the Windows95/98 GUI.

GUI, for those that do not know, is graphical user interface - the familiar Windows desktop with clickable icons - from which you can run Windows based recovery programs like Norton Disk Doctor for Windows.

regards,

Philip
