The fuchsias begin to bloom in Fall? You can grow edible ginger to harvestable state? The gingers as a group are new to me. I know it's a large group, 200 plus species or something. Diverse; unusual. It irritates me I don't live where they do; like every other distant plant family I'm interested in. Duh - the geography that creates these diversities, separates us from them. Well, poop on that. Bring on the aircraft and greenhouses.

It's no different, seeing a new plant, than going to another planet or time, if your eyes are open.

Sort of. Pretty close. Almost exactly the same.
