In reference to recent news of LU and Novell.

I had just read an article about the fact that CSCO has signed on in support of MSFT's NDS system and would not support NOVL's version of NDS. Now we see that LU has teamed with NOVL. This is somewhat a battle line drawn. I think it is something to keep an eye on. From reading the article this alone will get LU a place at the IT managers table, because they all seem to like Novell.

What the NDS products do is allow for the management of large disbursed networks. For example, you quit from a large company. NDS can remove your password from the national mainframe, the lan in the office where you worked, the network that runs purchasing all in one command, even those these all may be different networks. NDS is sort of the umbrella over the entire system. FWIW I hear Novell's is much better than MSFT's.
