Mark,
Are any of the Brokerage houses or banks that have profited from a lower price of gold operating in Canada? Has Canada been hurt by the low price of gold? Have precious metals mining jobs been lost in Canada? Would Canada be in a better position if they had been able to sell their gold into a stronger market? Would the Politicians have had more money to spend if gold had been higher? If precious metals miners were working? If you had paid big taxes on the money you had earned for the miners you are invested in?
Present it this way, someone will care!

That is one of the reasons given for Canada and Australia to sell their gold because they have lots more in the ground. Argentina seems to be discovering some. Perhaps that is their reason. I don't agree with the reason though.
