I am not a techie so get my info mostly from forum posts which are not very reliable and news items. I was comparing Qualcomm in U.S against only IDC. From what I have read wide band is the coming thing. As to WCDMA becoming that standard there are many who will disagree with you as BCDMA is supposed to be more compatible to others than WCDMA and less expensive. I am sure not the one to ask about any of this. I suggest you contact Qualcomm and IDC along with Ericcson & Nokia and any others competing. I was just giving an opinion based on what I had read. I am sure to be biased because I hold IDC and do not own any of the others. The yahoo thread is more active and better informed than the SI thread. You will get arguments from both sides.
