Kerm / Debt You're absolutely right, Kerm. There's word on the street about quite a few companies who are between the proverbial rock and hard place. I know of one baby oil (a few hundred bbls/d) who has seen his netback fall enough that current cash flow doesn't really leave anything for drilling; the bank won't let him in the door; an equity issue is miles out of the question; and he's seeing a nasty decline rate on his wells. Who needs a sauna when you can sweat like that behind your desk?
