1 09:13 T =Texas Instruments CFO Sees Future Home Embedded W/DSP Chips

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) hopes digital signal
processor chips will be embedded in homes of the future, according to the
semiconductor company's chief financial officer, William Aylesworth.
The home of the future will have DSP chips in the network and wiring, in the
television and computer, in telephone and telephone-like appliances, as well as
in household appliances which run on digital motor control, Aylesworth told
CNBC Tuesday.
As for the company's current business, the financial chief said: "It is
premature for the company to be calling an upturn for its overall business"
because different products have won stronger orders than others.
At the same time, Aylesworth stands by the company's product diversity,
saying it's key to success. "Diversity will give more the company more
stability, more than the company has shown in the past."
