Charles, In Shanghai it was of great interest to me that portions of the work force ( in construction at least) worked 24 hours a day 7 days a week, in staggered shifts. A new expressway was being built from downtown to the new airport. The road widening involved demolition of some older buildings. These were not completely torn down, If there was enough left, our guide mentioned that a new face was out on them. They were made smaller from street to rear. Brick was salvaged. Rubble was trucked away at night to be used somewhere else. It is amazing what is occurring there. Regards, Eli
