MM, the point is all other things equal lower rates make the US dollar less attractive to foreigners. The US dollar has fallen about 20% against the yen in the last two weeks-not very encouraging for Japanese investors. The momentum for dollar based financial assets has peaked. Asian based investors can buy assets cheap perhaps below replacement costs in some cases. Alternatives to the buck GOLD. They can't print it. Mike
