Heard on NPR on the way home that Daniel Patrick Moynahan has a new book that discusses these events. His new book is call "Secrets". In the interview he was talking about KGB letters, recently releases that prove the conspiracy. One little fact he talked about was that Truman was skeptical of the conspiracy in part because the intelligence
agencies kept what they knew from him.

Be interesting to compare and contrast the two books.
