If Big Dog says the fundamentals suck, and if the companies are saying they are looking at a few more difficult quarters, I'm not in a position to argue. The companies which move the fastest are the ones with the high beta's, like RON and SII. I would think these get first consideration from mo-mo traders. Long term funds probably start with SLB and HAL, along with the larger OSX components (just a guess). Good luck with your options. It's a bold move to fight the tape. The only reality here is cash. Tons of buying in the market. Shorts are getting trampled. I wonder if Greenspan realized the magnitude of what he was doing at the time.
