I see that it is loss now, gain later, however it should be tagged as extraordinary when/if it comes back. See extraordinary gains in recent 3com report which were re-adjustments of the losses taken earlier. Additional eps in this way are ignore and should be seperately recorded. Are they using earlier losses to goose up the pro-forma gains this Q? They wrote off about $1/share as I recall a little over a year back.
