so they want you to go long as sort of punishment for shorting it recently. <ggg>.

Be glad you even can trade something. Datek's completely dead today killing BTIM, and I am looking for some SRCM and KTEL shares to lend.

Interesting. I shorted 300 shares of MCAR about 10 minutes before the close, through E*Trade. There has been a rash of this kind of action with the online brokerages lately. About 2 weeks ago, many on E*Trade and Datek were told they would be bought in on SRCM, while others were still shorting that day.

Dale, extra shares called in? That's really nasty.

I think you should just tell the folks at etrade that they are a bunch of bedwetters and they should just try some biofeedback to relax them.

Maybe that will help.
