DELL COMPUTER SUBJECT OF DEBATE BETWEEN NEW YORK PORTFOLIO MANAGERS

Business Editors

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998--"Is Dell Undervalued?" Two nationally renowned experts will be debating the question at a breakfast seminar sponsored by Tejas Securities Group on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Rick Schottenfeld of Schottenfeld Associates in New York and Seth Tobias of Circle T Investments in New York will be debating Dell's value for local investors at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, 9721 Arboretum Blvd. The cost for the seminar is $20.

"Recent market volatility has many local investors looking through their portfolios," noted John Gorman of Tejas Securities. "Individuals with large positions in local companies are asking whether or not certain companies are bargains or still too high. We thought a debate between two experts with an outside perspective would be of interest to investors in Austin."

Schottenfeld and Tobias are both regular commentators on CNBC, known for discussing current stock market issues and trends. In the Oct. 27 debate, Schottenfeld will take the sell side on Dell while Tobias will be discussing the buy side. Seating for this event is limited and reservations are required. For information on attending the seminar call Tejas Securities at 512/306-8222.

RE Weakness

Venkie, I'll quite happily take a dollar here, 50c there, every day,if you want to call that weakness, fine by me :-)

This stock can't rise at $5 a day every day any more (unfortunately), but a dollar a day is good enough for me.
