Earnings are just out, and an initial read through indicates that CDN is trying to turn a corner. they came in at 29/share versus 30/share expectations but against 24/share last year. the key is going forward in which case things look better.

There was profit taking after about noon today in anticipation of this announcement, so now it will be interesting to see what occurs going forward. The chart indicates a nice double bottom.

Too bad cdn had a disappointing quarter. The streak of 20 consecutive quarters of beating estimate is now broken. Q3 rev of 308.6m was actually very impressive but the operating margin deteriorated quite a bit. Jack Harding's management capability is challenged here. With all the merger activities going on it is easy to take the eye off the ball.

After 5 years of stellar performance cdn management under Joe Costello earned credibility with investors. That credibility is at risk now with the new management under Harding.

I don't like the press release for q3 results. It didn't mention business unit growth information and didn't mention market demand information as they always did before. It indicates insensitivity to shareholders' concerns and mediocrity in communication skills.

Sonki, when do you think semi is going to come back?
