Ten, <that must mean that the Cyrix MII must be the best CPU core out there,> Sure it is, if they shrink it to 0.13 copper and put 256k of L2 on-die, no P-II derivatives even at 2.5GHz would ever approach it's 500MHz performance. <I'll agree that AMD has done a very good job taking the Socket 7 architecture to the Super 7 platform.> The job was good, no questions, given that the original platform s*cks big. It was developed by Intel - the famous Triton-XX chip sets. You cannot rewrite this fact of history. And good luck with your 100-IPC processor. It could be the really best processor given that memory latencies are not going away anytime soon:)
