Paul was another anal-cyst who got pissed in the CC since Ashby and Mory would not break down revenues by product and tell how much was deferred.
He adamantly tried several times to get a response and did not get any.
Another funny thing I noticed was that most scheduled anal-cysts were not on the phone but had sent someone else to ask questions.
Happened atleast 5 times.

What's interesting is that Mory admitted (on CNBC today) that there was significant revenue this quarter from earlier loan debts. So, the .32/share earnings includes revenue being realized from earlier quarters. Could this be part of the reason that the stock is hurting.

Seems to me, since we're managing earning here, that ASND would have been better served showing .32/share on current quarter sales then "additional unrealized earnings" from payouts on previous quarter debts owed.

Comments?

Glad I sold yesterday... :)

<< You're right Thomas. I had respect for Paul Johnson up until now, but he's now whacked like all the rest of the analysts. >>

Bucky,

Yeah, what happened to Paul Johnson? Is the guy trying to become the Tom Kurlack on Ascend? I believe he had an article in recent months in the last pages of Forbes ASAP in which he basically knelt down about Ascend and the changes coming to the network infrastructure in the years ahead, and now he is talking like Ascend is on starting to fold up and die. Well, Tom Kurlack will find out a lot on Intel this next Q (if he hasn't already) in which they are most likely already sold out, and Paul will find out that Ascend's next Q should be stronger than anything they have seen before, especially in core switching...oh, wait, Paul is not a dumb guy...he already knows this...could he be just waiting to buy again? ;-)))

all imho, of course
