New News: 10/20 11:59 Investors Research Institute, Inc. Announces Coverage for The Football Network Investors Research Institute, Inc. Announces Coverage for The Football Network - OTCBB: TNFK - Will be Initiated Quarterly by PAR Professional Analyst NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998--The non-profit Investors Research Institute, Inc., has announced that a professional analyst qualified in its unique Public Analysis & Review (PAR) program will initiate coverage of The Football Network (OTCBB:TFNK) immediately, joining previous announcements of coverage for Alternative Entertainment (BOYS), American Pacific Financial Services (OTCBB:AMPA), ALYA International (OTCBB:ALYA), Mortgage Bankers Holding Corporation (OTCBB:MBHC)*, LifeOne, Inc. (OTCBB:LONE), Remington Hall Capital Corp. (OTCBB:REMH), Planet City Software, Inc. (OTCBB:PINC), and CorpHQ, Inc. (OTCBB:COHQ). The initial PAR report was just issued for ALYA International, Inc., and a report is currently in progress for Planet City Software, Inc. An analyst is expected to be named to cover The Football Network next week, and an initial report will be issued within a few weeks. Afterwards TFNK will be followed on a quarterly basis after the issuance of each earnings report. The Football Network is a cable TV network totally devoted to football, with principal offices in Los Angeles. Its stock was approved to begin trading only today. TFNK plans to launch its network 24 a day on cable systems and through other venues in early 1999. The company intends to license programming from syndicators and producers and also to originate programming, deriving revenues from sponsorships, advertisements, affiliate and subscriber fees, viewers' calls, program sales and merchandise, capitalizing on the sport's ranking as America's number one spectator sport, ranking first with 34.5%, twice the following of any other. More information is available at footballnetwork.com and at virtualir.com . To meet the "scrutiny" requirement to display the "Seal of Best Practices in Investor Relations", described at the association's website at investorsresearch.org , public company enrollees must demonstrate third-party coverage. Because such coverage has not been readily available, the Institute's board authorized the creation of the PAR program to compensate for the lack of analysts covering small-cap equities. TFNK is a provisional "Elite" member of the 'Seal" program. Full status will be accorded upon the successful completion of a third-party analyst report. Coverage for Mortgage Bankers Holding Corp. (MBHC) and for LifeOne (LONE) are currently suspended awaiting company developments. Eight wirehouse-quality analysts have qualified in the PAR program. Their reports are issued completely independent of both the Institute and covered public companies. Financial aspects of the PAR program are administered for IRI by IRI, Inc. (IRIK), a public company in registration, to uniquely eliminate conflicts. Investors and Street professionals wishing to nominate companies for coverage should ask the company executives to write parprogramusa.net. --30--rg/ny* CONTACT: Investors Research Institute, Inc. C.
