<OT: Kirkpatrick, etc.> You're right. Kirkpatrick was a classic "Reagan Democrat." Many of these folks merged with the Podhoretz school of "neo-conservatives" (quite a few of whom were former Marxists). And Brzezinski (whose geopolitical realpolitik stance is a bit too much for me personally)served in a Democratic Administration... It is things like this that make me exceedingly uncomfortable with easy labels like "liberal" and "conservative". More on that anon... BTW, I wouldn't be too hard on Clinton for displaying signs of "attention deficit disorder" in his foreign policy. He certainly has a lot of other things clamoring for his attention these days..
