I would expect the next book to bill to increase, but only because the bill is approaching zero. . .I don't know if a turn-around in the B2B ratio can be considered an indicator until one looks closely at the numbers.

As to your question of if anything thinks this is a real bottom, I don't see that any of the world's economic problems have solved. . .

I think it's close enough, given the strengthening in Asia right now and the speculators failure to drive Brazil into financial collapse, not to mention the US. The Japanese financial tsunami appears to have hit the Rocky Mountains and collapsed.

Buy-side analysts are watching this sector so closely that the inevitable turn in the btb is going to occur after the bottom (in stock prices) is reached. Timing is impossible, but if there isn't another general catastrophe, the last week or two might well be the lowest price level for two or three years.

I'm in COHU, TER, ASYT, and KLIC for back-end/transport right now, and hoping for fast gains. But I can hold them for a year or two.
