Caroline, you're correct about being a distribution pattern when occurring at tops; read a few pages further on and you'll note that when the rectangle is a base of consolidation it is indicative of accumulation not distribution and breakouts to the upsides can be just as rewarding to the longs as a downside breakout is to the shorts.

They are not called pools anymore they're called mutual funds.
