Rob...
Sorry I haven't read an books on Technical Analysis... I have one book my wife bought...Elliott Wave Principle by Frost and prechter.. But I haven't read it yet..Maybe some day.<G>..

Most of my work is self taught along with my father's help..He has traded for over 30 years. Still does hand made charts.<G>

I look at patterns, I count days up and down, I draw trend lines. i buy the cheapest software i can find..I look at monthly, weekly and daily charts.

I had a change of trend or key date on monday...The direction is unknow to me, just the time frame that something is going to happen on that date. So, i guessed down, and it was up.<G>..Next day is the 26th..

I had a change in trend in the S&P's for today and again on the 26th.So, I figured Nextel would go along with the market. Instead it went up to fill gaps..still has large overhead resistance..

i'm still in no hurry..Never chase a stock..

Good luck,
Ed
