I don't know what you TA guys call today, but I think I'll call it a gasp.

Patience--that's what I have to tell myself in this market. Bulls and Bears can win in this market as long as we ain't too greedy or too nervous. Of course, Bulls and Bears can get slaughter just as easily, too. <GG>

Transports leading the way DOWN from here, I think.

Good luck all.

OT - Dell vs MrSoftie

I have a Dell at home running WIN95 and it is super, so I'm not sure how much of the problem is DELL and how much is Windows. I'm tempted to format the HD and load from scratch. This machine is plenty fast!

The market must have done just about a 180 today, no? I had to be away from the computer so I put some buy-to-cover stops on two shorts. The stops were taken out in the morning, but the stocks then dropped considerably during the day. Yecch!

Thean, this rally tested my nerves. One of the only reasons I didn't just cash out on my AFS puts was that they were worth so little I didn't have much to gain. At that point, I checked out the chart and the damn stock was just sitting there on the 200 MDA and what appeared to be pretty strong resistance. The stock was up 1/2 point when I started my gut wrenching analysis. By the time I got my option buy confirmation, the stock had dropped by 1/2 point...then the sellers swamped the thing. Appears as if we were all looking at the same thing at the same time. Got a nice price BTW.

NEM held up well. Love that $21 1/2 support line. For those of you who don't know yet, some big Japanese bank just accepted public funds to help bail it out. When the news hit the wires, the dollar sank after holding its gains all day long. I think the Japanese are going to start that US treasury sale very quickly to collect the money needed for these bail outs. Looking for gold to finally take off.

What happened to Dell today?
