It is strange that we have not heard anything from our "winer" Brocade and its parteners for quite a while. At this point of time, I hope that they can combine their force with Ancor's, just to make this fibre channel thing a reality instead trying to kill each other beforce anyone reach the food.

"Enterprise data storage systems and software maker EMC Corp. (NYSE:
EMC) gained $4 3/16 to $62 after reporting fiscal Q3 EPS of $0.38
versus $0.25 a year ago, beating the Street's mean estimate by
$0.02. The firm's net profit margin hit a decade-high 20% during the
quarter, while revenues jumped 37% from a year-ago to a hair over $1
billion." Motley Fool 10/20/98

Not sure whether Y2K is accelerating or hindering the
growth of enterprise storage. However, it is clear
that Fibre Channel revenue growth should resemble
that of companies like EMC.

Fang Li,

<<People are talking about fibre channel for real. This time, it is "just around the corner".>>

There are several of us on SI that have been saying that Fibre Channel was "just around the corner" for several years now. <g>
