FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 1998--HMT Technology (Nasdaq:HMTT - news) today
announced that Samsung Electronics Storage Systems Division has qualified HMT's magnetoresistive
(MR), laser-textured media for Samsung's recently announced SpinPoint SV series 4.3, 8.4 and 12.9GB disk
drives.
