Greg: I keep a handwritten diary of advances and declines and advancing and declining volume during the day when I have positions in the market or when I am planning to take or close a position.

I know of no electronic diary for this information. I keep my diary to understand the internal workings of the market during the day. At shortly before 2 PM (ET) this afternoon, large chunks of money began leaving the market. The advances and declines hardly moved but the big money tipped its hand through this volume action.

These movements were fairly subtle (until the final dump on the NASDAQ).

I see small caps, financials, Europe, Japan all rallying and US big caps especially etchs going sideways or declining. We could hardly have a crash across the board with some financials at a third of their peak value <g>
