No reponse here.. .. This is an entirely new post from and entirely new .....well... you can decide for yourself.

Geezle Peezle!

I have been monitoring this board for the last 4 months. Since I am a current (and future) D subscriber, this has been a lot of fun.

The ups and downs. The howls and outs. The dingbats to gurus. Please, all of you, accepts my compliments, because you have all stated my thoughts (upside and downside) during the time that has past.

My point is I just paid 60.00 to get on this board and open my big mouth.

Here goes.... I just bought a boatload of CPPKY, FFS and SME. Am I stupid or what? Here is a clue. I bought a boatload of the same shares earlier this year.

I bought into D when I read some mailer he sent talking about building weath the "Swiss Way"." Basically a buy and hold (or hold forever)method of buidling weatlh.

In the short them I have seem it fail, robustly. I have certainly lost more money (on paper) that I have made with his service; to date.

I do believe this will change. In the last 3 weeks my portfolio has recouped is losses incurred during the summer blip. My feeling is that time (not emotion) will serve me well.

Being a long term player (due to an ESOP) my concern is over what I feel will happen 3 years from now and not over what is killing me today.

3 Years from now times and conditions may be very different. At least I hope so. Multiples of 5 or more on the "great stocks" listed above are not out of the realm of any readers imagination.

OK trash me.

Steve,

A word of wisdom from the Humble One:

Dollar cost averaging does not work for a stock that has a long term trend of going lower.

It may work for a year or two, due to the ripple effect that most stocks display. So if that is the nature of the stock you own, get out in time! Will it work for the 'dog' that I own called WDC? My average price is 12.5.

I made good money on AMD by averaging down. Jumped off in the middle of 95 with a 50% gain in a year or so. Had I stayed, I would have a 50% loss today.
Rgds
