Pessimism on this thread now is almost as great as when the OSX was under 50. The bearish news does not matter much in itself; what is important is how the market reacts to bearish news. Very well indeed I would say. It has been pretty well discounted.

Look for the OSX to make another strong upmove after pulling back a few percent more.

API site has the weekly numbers now. Not sure why Bloomberg called it a small draw in crude...there was actually a small increase of 512M barrels. Crude runs are down about 10% from a month ago, probably due to refinery shutdowns (both from storms and scheduled maintenance) and seasonal factors. Some refineries will be coming back on-stream and using more crude. Question is whether that output will be absorbed or add to glut of finished products. We could sure use a little la nina effect.
