Guard Dog by Cybermedia is a good program to block cookies.

FWIW-- GO2NET DOES occasionally try to get cookies on your PC here at SI. I get an occasional warning and have found them in Windows under "Cookies" or "Temporary Internet Files".

So they are already using them...
