ESS forecast to make a profit by the end of 1998.
Now the prices of memory chip seems to go up due to supply demand which signals not so bad a PC market towards the end of the year. IMHO, even if the PC market slows down, ESS shall still prevail on its huge shipment success with SVCD manufacturers. ESS's competitors such as C-Cubes and Winbond shall also enjoy good revenue in that part of world which still maintains above 5.5% growth nationally.
